"The first year of the company, I ran the company from my garage. What fed our family that first year was that Schecter Japan needed American-made pickups; the American Schecter factory closed a few months after I left, and nobody knew how to make pickups. Schecter Japan contacted me and we sat down at Carl’s Jr. and made a deal. I set up a little pickup-making shop in the kitchen of our house. After I got through making necks and bodies in our garage during the day, we sat up making pickups every night. That first year we lived on those pickups, and we still make them to this day."

Hand wound by a team with decades of experience - who not only make them, but install them in their own guitars to test them over the weekends!

Longtime standard for hum-canceling, S-size single coils, SAs speak with a dynamic voice characterized by full bodied low mids & clear, dynamic highs.

SA 1: Vintage level, single coil sound, hum-canceling (great for neck and middle application). Specs: DC Resistance: 11.5 kO, EQ(0-10) Bass: 7.3 Mid: 3.5 Treble: 7.0, Magnet: Neodymium

SA 1R: Vintage level, single coil sound, hum-canceling, reverse wound. Specs: DC Resistance: 11.5 kO, EQ(0-10) Bass: 7.3 Mid: 3.5 Treble: 7.0, Magnet: Neodymium

SA 2: Hot single coil-sound, hum-canceling (great for hotter neck and middle application). Specs: DC Resistance: 17.0 kO, EQ(0-10) Bass: 6.3 Mid: 4.0 Treble: 8.0, Magnet: Neodymium
